In here, I will briefly teach you about skyboxes. Skyboxes are very flexible, and are a big part of your atmoshpere in your creations. I will teach you 2 things.<br /> 1.) `Firstly we'll want to setup our program.

sync on : sync rate 60

set display mode 1024,768,32

backdrop on

set text size 24

`First we must load our outside media.

load image "Insert you image here",1

`Next, we'll make our skybox.

`We have 2 options, a cube or Sphere.

`You really won't know which looks better, until you try them each out.

make object sphere 1,-5000

`Notice how we make the size negitive, this makes it so the texture will appear on the inside.

`Now we simply texture the skybox.

texture object 1,1

`If neccessary, we reposition the skybox to our neccessary spot.

position object 1,1,1,1

`Now we add some controls so we can preview our skybox.

`The arrowkeys move the camera, and shift and control move up and down.

` Well, you've done it. You've created your skybox, now we'll move onto a simple trick for sidescrollers.

`All you have to do, is add 3 simple commands to your main loop.

`This gets your moving object's x position and stores it in a simple variable.

X#=object position x(whatever object you're controlling)

`This rotates the skysphere slowly around the object, to give the illusion the sky is moving.

rotate object 1,0,yrotate object 1,object angle y(1)+0.1,0

`This makes the sphere move with the sidescrolling object

position object 1,0,x#,0

`Remember, this is just an example of a simple trick for sidescrollers, that can be applied elsewhere.
