Full Description

This code will take a Heightmap BitMap and creat a smoothes (Thats right, No pointy slopes) in the size and resolution you choose.<br /> Also it will show you how to match you "Vehicle"'s angles to match the ground's slopes.<br /> <br /> Please Mail me at [email protected] for comments and questions.

Smooth matrix from heightmap Image

Tutorial by ~Shokata~

This tutorial will show you few things:

1. How to create a smoothed matrix (Ground) from a grayscaled Jpeg Image (Of Any size)

2. How to orient an object "Vehicle" to match the Matrix "ground" orientation.

`this is a loop that checks all the red colors of the pixels in the bitmap and sets

`the compatible tile to the correct hieght

`In grayscaled mode, the Images RGB Data is alwayes identical.. Exp:

`  if Red = 10 then Grenn = 10 and Blue = 10 [RGB (10,10,10) and therefore we

`  can measure only the ont of the pixel's colors.

`Off course... the Higher ("Whiter") the Pixel is, the heghier the tile will be.

What we did here is take all the pixels arround a certain pixel

for Exp:

if the pixel we check now is (3,3) then we'll check the average height of these pixel:

(4,4) & (4,3) & (4,2) & (3,4) & (3,2) & (2,4) & (2,3) & (2,2)

set the obtained average to be the compatible tile's height

"matY#/2" => The lower the number the heigher the slopes will be.

Ok... this one might seem a bit tricky.. so bare with me and I'll

try to explain it as simple as possible.

In order to set Our vehicle to match the Grounds Orientation, we need to find

the angle for its Z axis and X axis...

The newvalue command calculates what will be the X,Y or Z new position if i move in

a certain direction for a certain distance, here im taking the X and Z position

of 4 Markers (Front , Back , Left and Right)
