ANIMER is a 3D character animations editor. It is designed to modify and create character animations stored in DirectX (.x) files. The program was primarily designed for characters from FPS Creator but it can be used to edit other similar characters stored in the DirectX format.

Characters from the FPSC "model packs" can be different in appearance but still move in the game in the same way because they are equipped with the same set of animations. Every game developer wants their game to be original and unique. By editing the stock animations with ANIMER you can easily create your own animations and make your game stand out from the crowd.

Mender - Free Model Converter

Characters from models packs are created in various editors which use various DirectX exporters. Not all files ".X" are fully compliant with DirectX format. These files works in FPSC and DBPro but Animer needs the correct DirectX format to work.

Mender is a free application which converts ".X" files to the correct DirectX format. Mender can also convert from ".dbo" to ".x" format for DBPro users.

If you can't load a character from any FPSC models pack in ANIMER, just run Mender, in the application window click File / Open to load the character, then click File / Save to save it in correct DirectX format. The saved file can now be loaded in Animer.

Mender - AS Converter

Now, you don't need to create animations specification in Animer for a model from Character Shop, you can convert an animation sequence from Character Shop, and load it in Animer when using the AS Converter.
