We are excited to bring you a new drone to the GameGuru Sci-Fi Mission to Mars Pack and this one is not an enemy, but a friend and ally. Until now, the count has been one player versus three drones, but this update shifts the balance a little in your favour with your very own golden drone.
With the addition of this forbidabble ally you can explore Mars or similar reddish planets with an extra degree of calm, safe in the knowledge this little flying friend will zoom ahead to do battle with your enemies. Modelled closely on the Golden Imp ally script from the Fantasy Pack, we felt it appropriate that this month of AI work should include a DLC update that added more 'thinking' into the mix.
In other GameGuru news, we are focusing on the much requested AI improvements to the engine. We are not finished with visual and performance requests, but AI has been overshadowed by the release of DirectX 11, PBR and large-scale optimizations, and we want to redress the balance a little. Keep an eye out for the next update which will infuse combatants with additional intelligence, and give the player something to think about!
