Alongside FPS Creator, there is an educationally-inclined version of the formative world-building software called First Person Game Creator (FPGC). This version runs on the same highly popular game engine, and emphasises the use of challenges and goal-oriented puzzles within the worlds built by the designers.
Turning challenges into 3D virtual world is the domain of VR Quest. They have taken their head-mounted 3D hardware and combined it with FPGC to create the ultimate immersive experience for young learners, and for their educators.
Featured here on Khon 2 News (and also featured on KITV), students from Dole Middle School in Hawaii are using their knowledge of science and history to design their own educational computer games with the combined system.
